Done with 8.4.4..Congratulations, but WHATS NEXT?

They say what has a beginning has an end, Four or Five years in campus is not a lot of time.Just like me you could be shocked that you are now through with your campus life, there is joy true but anxiety of whats next... This is what i wish to address to in this post, sit back and enjoy reading.

First, with no experience getting a Job seems difficult due to the normal "EXPERIENCE" required by employers. How do you get this experience? It’s through internship. The challenge with many students is that they need paid internship, that's justified due to the high cost of living in the country but you can do an unpaid internship. With this try to stay somewhere close to where you are doing your internship so that you cut on cost of fare, you can also get some side hustles at shags or some new staff like online writing.

How do you get the internship if you are not well connected? Have you heard of National Industrial Training Authority(NITA)?They provide students with attachment and internship opportunities at a zero charge, walk to they are located about 2km from the CBD opposite KEMSA. Check their site at www.nita.go.ke or check their Facebook page National Industrial Training Authority. Note they only attend to students on Tuesdays and Fridays only. You can also check websites such as www.careerpointkenya.co.ke, www.brightermonday.co.ke  for internships.

While working on your internships you will be updating your CV and soon you will have the experience to get that dream job, you can begin applying for Jobs while still in your internships and you will be surprised you might just land your job. The sites i have given below are updated on daily basis and you should stay in touch for Jobs in your area, also be up to date with what’s in the print media especially the Newspapers. Most importantly when on internship focus to build a brand, dress neatly be punctual, polite, be in a good relationship with everyone and perform well, that alone can land you in a Job there.

Not everyone wishes to follow this approach, others want to register companies and start supplying to governments and counties due the 30% procurement rule giving the youth a chance to supply to the government. This is a wise approach too and will serve to reduce unemployment; i have friends who today earn from their own supplying companies. If you get a good job remember your friends too and assist them on their way up the ladder, that’s the true spirit of comradeship. You might need them some day.

Finally i have learnt one thing in life, be patient...even as you go on with all this just be patient, do not hurry things up. No matter how huge are your expectations.

That’s it from me; I thank Kenya Moja News for hosting my article; like their Facebook page by clicking here

All the best fellow comrades as you begin your new life.

Why Ngilu is leaving Jubilee and the impact this has on Kenyan politics

In the recent years, jubilee government has been trying its best to lure ukambani (stronghold of the opposition) into joining the government. This has seen the president and his deputy visit Machakos county more than 7 times and the Ukambani region more than 15 times since the 2013 elections. This has shifted attention from Ngilu who was the jubilee point man in the 2013 elections to the promising Dr.Alfred Mutua. This could be one of the reasons leading Ngilu out of Jubilee. Secondly Ngilu threatened to expose the Langata primary school land grabber and resign a position which didn't augur well with the Jubilee coalition as one of them was involved. This deemed her unreliable to the Jubilee coalition.

Let's look at the impact if Ngilu moves to CORD.First this will be a plus for CORD as it will appear evidently that Jubilee will only use and dumb kambas hence difficult to sell the Dr. Mutua agenda of Jubilee in Kamba land. This will lead to one vote from ukambani and hence a plus for CORD in the next general elections.

That's it from my first political blog. You can comment on this story and share it.

PRESS RELEASE ON CRACKDOWN AGAINST ILLICIT BREWS

Ladies and Gentlemen, Good afternoon.Let me First officialy welcome you to my blog.

The war against illegal brews began last week after the presidential meeting with Mps from Central Kenya, this is commendable as many lives have been lost and dreams shuttered due to this illicit brews.However the following issues should be addressed as we move on with this war;

1. As much as we might this war if it is not entrenched on policy the illicit brews will still come up again. The legislature should make laws to curb this practice and involve the communities in this fight. We need laws to regulate the industry, the penalties too.

2. Procedures should be set when dealing with this, some premises are private and rented to the brew sellers and when we set them on fire we are also punishing innocent investors.

3. Environmental effect should also be considered, these bottles being broken are dangerous for kids playing and may injure them. Some chemicals are also hazardous to the environment, we should have a proper way for disposal.

 4. The employees who worked in this industries and the reformed youth should also be given something to do so as to reduce on crime, may be recruting them to NYS and society accepting them back.

5.Measures should be put in place to prevent legit manufacturers such as EABL who have lost over 2.3 million shillings in this war.

Those are the concerns i intended to raise this afternoon,Further to this, the war should be extended to all counterfeit products in kenya as they are numerous.
